How to get rid-of stains due to temporary dye?
1. White vinegar rinse
- Mix dye-free shampoo and vinegar in the ratio of 3:1 and create a mixture in the consistency of a hair mask. (3-part dye-free shampoo and one-part vinegar)
- Apply the mixture thoroughly into your hair.
- Cover it using a plastic wrap or shower cap.
- Leave it on for about 10 – 15 minutes and then rinse it off in lukewarm water.
2. Dandruff shampoo and baking soda
- Mix dandruff shampoo and baking soda in equal parts.
- Shampoo your hair using this mixture by working up a nice lather.
- Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it off.
3. Crushed vitamin C
- Crush vitamin c tablets and make a paste by mixing adding hot water into it.
- Apply the paste to wet hair and wear a shower cap or plastic wrap to cover it up
- Sit on it for about an hour and then rinse it off using a shampoo.
4. Dish soap
- Mix dish soap with your regular shampoo and lather it onto your hair.
- After lathering it on for a few minutes, rinse it off properly and completely from your hair.
- You can use dish soap to wash your hair. Since dish shops are made for stubborn grease and other materials then it will definitely help in removing dye from your hair. Remember to deeply condition or moisture your hair since using dish soap can be harsh on your hair.
5. Vinegar Rinse
- Mix equal parts of vinegar(plain) and water.
- Do not use vinegar to remove red dye from your hair.
- Douse your hair with the mixture (make sure to lean over a sink or a tub while doing it)
- Cover your hair using a shower cap or plastic wrap for about 4-20 minutes and then rinse it off using shampoo.
6. Toners
Try using a toner that will help you remove the unwanted shine and will give you back the natural blonde hair. Make sure to use the right toner.
It doesn’t matter what technique you are using, make sure to condition really well afterward because these methods are really harsh on your hair and will damage it.
